Want to enable automatic captions for your audio and video in Chrome? Google’s Live Captions feature makes it simple to generate real-time subtitles for content you’re watching or listening to.
To get started, open Google Chrome and click on the three dots icon in the top-right corner. Then, navigate to Settings and select Accessibility. Here, you can toggle Live Captions on or off, allowing Chrome to automatically create captions for media playback.
You also have the option to customize your caption experience. Choose your preferred caption language and add additional ones as needed. The language packs used for Live Caption are stored locally on your device, ensuring quick and seamless processing.
Additionally, you can enable or disable Hide Profanity and Live Translate. Live Translate sends captions to Google to automatically translate them into different languages, making content even more accessible.
With Live Captions in Chrome, you can enhance your browsing experience by making spoken content easier to follow, whether you're watching a video or listening to a podcast.
