Step-by-Step Instructions
To set your preferred behavior for the physical power and sleep buttons:
Open Settings: Press Windows Key + I, or right-click the Start button and select Settings.
Go to System Settings: In the Settings window, click on System.
Access Power & Sleep Options: From the left-hand menu, select Power & sleep.
Open Additional Power Settings: On the right side of the Power & sleep page, click Additional power settings.
Choose Button Behavior: In the Power Options window, click Choose what the power buttons do.
Customize Actions: Under Power and sleep button settings, use the dropdown menus to assign actions:
Power button: Shut down, Turn off display, Hibernate, Sleep, or Do nothing
Sleep button: Shut down, Turn off display, Hibernate, Sleep, or Do nothing
