How To Enable / Disable Clipboard History in Windows 11

Keeping track of copied text can be a game-changer, whether you’re working on multiple documents or just need quick access to previously copied items. Windows 11 makes it easy to manage your clipboard history with just a few clicks.

To enable or disable clipboard history, open Settings by right-clicking on the Start menu and selecting Settings, or press Windows key + I. Navigate to System and then click Clipboard.

From here, you can toggle Clipboard History on or off. If enabled, you can access previously copied items by pressing Windows key + V, where you’ll also have the option to pin important items for future use.

For those signed in with a Microsoft account, Windows offers clipboard syncing across devices. This allows you to automatically sync copied text or manually choose what gets shared between your devices.

Additionally, Windows provides more clipboard management tools:

  • Click Clear to remove all clipboard data.
  • Toggle Suggested Actions on or off to receive smart suggestions when copying dates, times, or phone numbers.

With these simple steps, you can fine-tune clipboard history settings to match your workflow and maximize productivity!
